Service that replaces manual PDF handling with a secure API for bulk document operations.

What I built

  • Built a Django REST Framework backend for PDF upload, validation, splitting, merging, and page-to-image conversion with PyPDF2, pdf2image, Poppler, and Ghostscript.
  • Secured the API with JWT authentication and stored files in cloud object storage via django-storages.
  • Added bulk processing, structured logging, and error handling, with optional Tesseract OCR for scanned files.
  • Deployed with Docker behind Nginx on AWS.
